"The Story Of ____" a very british surreal rock and roll adventure film, written by James and Adam Abadi
Disenfranchised Cosmos Records A&R man Lewis Sipricosh inadvertedly ignites a music indusrty rumour about a non existant band called Fuck. In the time it takes him to finish a microwave-from-frozen tuna salad at his local café, demand for Fuck has escalated into astronomical proportions.
On returning to his office Lewis discovers his evil nemesis and fellow Cosmos employee, Head of A&R, Gilmore Bell, has actually signed Fuck in a £2 million deal.
Seeing the chance to bring down his enemy once and for all, and aided and abetted by his mysterious, yet beautiful work experience assistant, Lewis sets out to create the worst possible band ever assembled by recruiting a bunch of losers he saw miming at a talent contest the night before.
This leads him into a dark and surreal world populated by stranger than life characters and mysterious goings on, all of which seem to be conspiring to prevent Lewis from finally avenging the many wrongs afflicted on him over the last few years.
Set in London and punctuated by a rock and roll soundtrack, 'The Story Of_____' combines elements of Monty Python, Luis Bunuel, Charlie Kaufman, The Coen Brothers, Tarantino, Airplane and Lock Stock. Above all the film is an innovative Britflick and appeals greatly to the magical Generation X.
A UK Film Council funded pilot was shot and edited early in 2004. The company is now looking for funding to get the film off the ground. For further information, or to receive a copy of the script, please contact info@abadifilms.com.
